Let’s be honest for a moment.
The words “boudoir shoot” can sound a bit intimidating, can’t they?

You might picture some high-fashion studio, supermodel poses, a wind machine, and the sort of lingerie that requires a degree in engineering to get into.

But here’s the thing… that’s not what I do.

For me—and for so many of the incredible women who’ve stepped in front of my camera—boudoir is really just big girls playing dress up.
(And yes, it’s every bit as much fun as it sounds.)

💄 A relaxed home studio — no catwalk strutting required

My studio isn’t some intimidating, echoey warehouse It’s a warm, relaxed home studio with multiple rooms to shoot in. One corner might be all soft, romantic light… another gives off a rich, moody vibe… and then there’s that perfect spot where the light just loves you. Based in rural Billingborough – there’s plenty of parking on the drive aswell!

Think of it as wandering through different moods of you—whether that’s elegant, playful, powerful, or “I can’t believe I’m actually doing this!”

And because I know stepping into this can feel nerve-wracking, I’ve made sure the whole experience is designed to be as relaxed as a natter with a friend over a glass of something nice.

💋 Meet Katie — your personal confidence fairy

Before we even pick up a camera, you’ll meet Katie, my brilliant makeup artist (and all-round magician).
She’s warm, funny (watch the independent eye rolls …….) and the queen of making mature women look and feel incredible—without plastering you in layers of makeup you’ll barely recognise yourself in.

This isn’t about turning you into someone else. It’s about bringing out you – without filters, so you can see exactly how stunning you are .

📸 Fun first, photos second (well… almost)

I’m a mature woman myself, so believe me when I say I understand the wobbles that come with stepping out of your comfort zone.

That’s why we make this an experience, not a photo shoot. We’ll chat, laugh (a lot), and I’ll guide you through every pose—no awkward “what do I do with my hands?” moments here. (Why do you think my Facebook group is called what it is …… talking of which – here is an invite!

We’ll try different looks, different rooms, and maybe a cheeky little outfit change or two. By the time we get to the photos, most women are laughing, twirling, and saying things like “I actually feel amazing!”

And the best part? You get to walk away with stunning images that show a woman who is vibrant, visible and utterly herself.

I built Symply Boudoir because I know how it feels to look in the mirror and not quite recognise the woman staring back. I wanted to create something real. Something joyful.

A space where mature women can show up exactly as they are—nervous, excited, uncertain—and leave feeling radiant, seen, and just a little bit unstoppable.
