Introducing one of our lovely ladies from the  40 over 40 project!

 WHAT IS YOUR OCCUPATION? I’m a Quality Support Partner for a care home group and work across their homes in the Cambridgeshire region.

HOW OLD ARE YOU – AND WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE? 47. The best thing is being healthy and happy – and content with life as it is everyday.

WHAT HARDSHIPS HAVE YOU ENDURED THAT YOU FEEL HAVE MADE YOU FEEL STRONGER? My mental health has not always been good as I have suffered with anxiety and depression. However, I have treatment and I have shifted my mental mindset so that I use my experiences to ensure I live life to the fullest going forward rather than dwelling on the past.

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT? I am proud of my education, career progression and the work I do. Most of all I feel my two girls are my greatest achievement, although running the Edinburgh Marathon was also a massive achievement!

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS? Being healthy and active and having the freedom to choose what I do everyday.

WHAT DO YOU TREASURE MOST? My family and home.

WHAT’S LEFT ON YOUR BUCKET LIST? Travelling around the world with my husband.

WHAT WAS YOUR GREATEST EXTRAVAGANCE? Doing the photo shoot and purchasing my gorgeous photo album from Symply Boudoir!

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU WOULD CHANGE ABOUT YOURSELF? I would get rid of the excess I don’t like around my abdominal area… whatever I do it doesn’t seem to shift!

WHAT IS A TRAIT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF? Being naturally musical and able to sit down and play the piano whenever I like. And being crafty…

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR? Being in poor health, not being able to be independent and having to rely on other people as I truly value my independence over practically everything else.

WHAT DO YOU MOST VALUE IN YOUR FRIENDS? Kindness and compassion.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF? Never worry about what other people think of you. Always be proud to be your authentic self.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO OR FAVOURITE QUOTE? Live for the moment. You never know when everything you have can be taken away.

AND FINALLY…..HOW DID YOU FEEL AFTER YOUR 40 over 40 BOUDOIR SHOOT? Absolutely fantastic – confident, happy and as if I was walking on air!
