Introducing another one of our lovely ladies from the  40 over 40 project!

 WHAT IS YOUR OCCUPATION? I work as a Finance Assistant in my local school. I have been there since 2001 and love my job.

HOW OLD ARE YOU – AND WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE? I will be 64 by the time of the exhibition. I was very timid as a child but get braver as the year’s go by and love trying something new.

WHAT HARDSHIPS HAVE YOU ENDURED THAT YOU FEEL HAVE MADE YOU FEEL STRONGER? When my parents died I realised that I needed to live my best life before I ran out of time and started pushing myself out of my comfort zone more.

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT? Bringing up my children is top of the list.
Volunteering on a 4 week trip to Africa with 20 sixth form students, which included hiking up Kilimanjaro was a big life highlight. Aged 57 at the time.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS? Dancing

WHAT DO YOU MOST TREASURE? My two sons
Music, dancing and singing
Nature walks

Peru, Barcelona, The Amalfi Coast, Austria, Switzerland and lots more of Italy, Spain and Portugal
