 WHAT IS YOUR OCCUPATION? I am a retired Nurse SRN, RMN

HOW OLD ARE YOU – AND WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE? 70 year old.
I have learnt a lot and am a bit wiser now. I am great at choosing good friends and have a wonderful social life with lots of time to enjoy my lif

WHAT HARDSHIPS HAVE YOU ENDURED THAT YOU FEEL HAVE MADE YOU FEEL STRONGER? I was widowed when my daughter was nine years old. This was very hard as I loved my husband a lot. I had to be a single parent , managing work,finances and ensure my daughter had the best childhood I could give which was so hard.

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT? Providing a safe home,holidays,security,finances and a lovely 33 year old daughter.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS? Health

WHAT DO YOU TREASURE MOST?  The sea,trees,warmth,my home, my daughter,my current partner,my friends,my little dog.

WHAT’S LEFT ON YOUR BUCKET LIST? To travel to as many countries as possible especially New Zealand,Australia and South Africa.

WHAT WAS YOUR GREATEST EXTRAVAGANCE? Travelling across the USA east to west when I retired.

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU WOULD CHANGE ABOUT YOURSELF? My independence.I find it very hard to accept offers of help.

WHAT IS A TRAIT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF? My independence it has got me this far!

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR? Dementia

WHAT DO YOU MOST VALUE IN YOUR FRIENDS? Fun,consistency, mutual care,interest in me, history together

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF? Listen to sound, supportive advice and try it.
