| If you are a mature woman and ever thought about booking a boudoir shoot and then immediately talked yourself out of it — you’re not alone. In fact, let me guess… you’ve probably said one (or all) of these things to yourself: 1. “I Can’t Do This” Yes, you can. You don’t need to show up bursting with confidence. You just need 30 seconds of courage to say yes. From there, I take over. Think of it like handing your nerves to me in exchange for laughter, reassurance, and a few dodgy jokes and prop fails. 2. “I’ll Look Ridiculous” (erm – have you just seen the photo above !) This is the most common one. Truly, every single woman says it. But looking ridiculous isn’t even on the menu — because I guide every single pose, right down to what to do with your hands (because they do love to go rogue). You don’t need to know how to do anything. Just follow along, and suddenly you don’t look ridiculous at all — you look fabulous. 3. “I’m Not Photogenic” Neither am I (unless it’s from a distance, in great lighting, and preferably with sunglasses on). But here’s the truth: no one is naturally photogenic. That’s my job. You don’t need to be a model; you just need to be you. I’ll do the rest with the right light, the right angles, and plenty of encouragement. 4. “I Don’t Look Like Those Women” Every single woman on my website thought the same before her shoot. They were all convinced they’d be the awkward one. But here’s what I see when you walk in: not the self-doubt, not the list of ‘flaws’ you’ve been rehearsing for years — but your spark, your story, your strength. That’s who I capture. Not one of women on my website thought she could do this. I haven’t used a single model. (Big thank you to those women who have allowed me to use their photos xx) 5. “I’m Too Old” This one makes me smile, because I hear it all the time — and yet most of my clients are women over 50. My Ageless Over 50 campaign was created for exactly this reason: to prove that beauty, confidence, and self-expression don’t have an expiry date. Honestly? The women who tell me they’re “too old” are the very ones who leave my studio glowing, saying they wish they’d done it years ago. 6. “It’s Too Expensive” I’ll be straight with you: anything good in life usually costs something. The best holidays, the shoes that actually last, the coffee that makes your morning bearable — quality isn’t cheap. And neither is an experience that can change how you see yourself. But — I also get it. Money matters. That’s why I offer very informal, interest-free payment plans where you set the pace. No pressure, no deadlines, just a way to make sure you can say yes to yourself without stressing about the bank balance. The truth is: every single woman who’s ever booked with me had these same doubts swirling in her head. And every single one of them walked away saying, “I can’t believe that’s me in those photos.” So if these thoughts have been holding you back, consider this your nudge.
