 WHAT IS YOUR OCCUPATION? I worked for the Post Office for 40 years and retired in 2017 at the age of 60.
I was very lucky to have a fabulous company pension, which means I can enjoy my latter years at leisure, or more often, travelling to new places

HOW OLD ARE YOU – AND WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE? I am just 67, but age isn’t important to me.
However I love my family and my friends and, being retired, I now get to spend more time with them which is a bonus

WHAT HARDSHIPS HAVE YOU ENDURED THAT YOU FEEL HAVE MADE YOU FEEL STRONGER? I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 50. Luckily my journey wasn’t too bad and I survived.
my journey meant that I was able to support 2 of my best friends who were both diagnosed a year after me.

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT? Having a beautiful family and wonderful friends

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS? A sandy beach in a warm sunny climate

WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED POSSESSION?  My memories

WHAT’S LEFT ON YOUR BUCKET LIST? I love to travel and there are still many places I have yet to explore

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU WOULD CHANGE ABOUT YOURSELF? I would talk less and listen more

WHAT IS A TRAIT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF? I am a very sociable and friendly person.
I am very proud that many of my best friends are people who worked for me, so I guess I wasn’t too bad a boss!

WHAT DO YOU MOST VALUE IN YOUR FRIENDS? Their loyalty and willingness to accept me as I am

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF? Just do it!

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO OR FAVOURITE QUOTE? Live for today as tomorrow isn’t a given
