50 over 50 Project No. 12 Tracy: Age 54

Getting here and still being healthy to enjoy everything.

Being told at an early age I wouldn’t be able to have children. I realised that you have to make the most of the family you do have and do everything you can to protect and help them. My Dad having dementia and seeing him going through such an awful disease has made me even more protective and find strength I didn’t know I had.

Probably my husband Martin & I setting up a business that is still going today and allowed us to spend 11 happy years living in Portugal.

Nothing deep and meaningful here! What makes me happiest is going to see my favourite rock band play live with my friends around me. At that time I can forget everything else and just enjoy the moment.

My cat Maisie!

I have been really lucky to have done so many amazing things but walking in Tanzania, tracking the big cats and then coming face to face with 2 male elephants. An adrenaline rush like never before.

The above and turning left on the plane

Physically-my nose otherwise I would love to be able to be less anxious about everything.

My best friend told me I was her champion and that made me feel really proud to know that if anyone needs me I will be there for them.

Death & Spiders not necessarily in that order

WHAT DO YOU MOST VALUE IN YOUR FRIENDS?

Honesty

Appreciate everything you are and have when you are young. Make the most of every opportunity so you can look back and have no regrets.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO OR FAVOURITE QUOTE?

I’d rather regret the things ive done than regret the things I haven’t done when I had the chance.
