Carol joined the 50 over 50 project with the hope that she could find herself again. Having had her fair share of bereavements she was understandably feeling very depressed about life. She admitted that doing this type of shoot was as far out of her comfort zone as she could get – but having read how positive the other ladies were about the project was happy to give it a go. She was stunned when she saw her photos – I’m hoping this has given her the boost she so needed after such a difficult period in her life.
I lost my 2nd husband Andy in 2015. We had only been married 4 1/2 years and together 6 years. We were going to grow old disgracefully. He passed away from bowel cancer, 13 hours diagnosis to death! I also lost my lovely mum in Feb 2020 to sepsis and pancreatic cancer.
Since Andy died, I have realised that life is so short and you never know whats around the corner. Live your life for you
Being with the people I love and good health.
I had always wanted to fly and I have now done that a few times, but I would say a helicopter ride over New York with Laura my daughter.
Buying my house outright and turning left in the airplane to travel to New York and on return as well
I would love to be slimmer but I wouldn’t change anything really. I am who I am and if you don’t like it then I don’t want you in my life!
I’m a very caring person I respect people and their needs so possibly why I have been in the care industry for so long
