I spent 66 years feeling unable to be who I really am. It is only in the last two years that I have been able to address a lifelong dysphoria. The sense of release, the joy, in being able to live as I have always wanted to live is extraordinary.
I now lead a life that makes sense to me – a life that has an equilibrium I have never known before – because I have transitioned. No matter that it is late in life. It is the first time that I have been truly ‘me’ and I am so grateful to my daughters and friends for their kindness, love and support., which means the world to me.
