WHAT IS YOUR OCCUPATION? I work in Finance and HR for a charity

WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE? Having years of experience and no longer worrying what others think of me. I’ve grown into myself finally and love who I have become. 

WHAT HARDSHIPS HAVE YOU ENDURED THAT YOU FEEL HAVE MADE YOU FEEL STRONGER ? Losing my husband after a 15 month battle with brain cancer. I nursed him at home and he passed peacefully with our sons and myself by his side. The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but it’s changed my outlook on everything, I survived and I now feel I’m stronger. I’m determined to live life for both of us. 

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT? Raising my two wonderful sons, who have become amazing men. I literally burst with pride when I think what they’ve achieved, especially having gone through such a dreadful loss.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS? Sharing music and laughter with loved ones.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED POSSESSION? I don’t really treasure possessions. The things I treasure the most are my family and friends. My sons in particular are my most treasured.

WHAT’S LEFT ON YOUR BUCKET LIST? Wing walking (booked for August)
Trekking Mont Blanc (booked for September)
Sky diving
Rally car driving

WHAT WAS YOUR GREATEST EXTRAVAGANCE?A Michael Kors handbag. My husband actually bought it for me after he was diagnosed. He’d always wanted to buy me a designer handbag and he really pushed the boat out!

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU WOULD CHANGE ABOUT YOURSELF? Mentally – Probably to not worry so much about things beyond my control.
Physically – my tummy, it’s way too wobbly!

 WHAT IS A TRAIT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF? Kindness and helping people. I’m a good listener and pride myself on being a good friend.

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR? being alone when I die.

WHAT DO YOU MOST VALUE IN YOUR FRIENDS? Honesty, loyalty and the ability to laugh until you pee your pants.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF? Stop worrying about your weight and love yourself.

 WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO OR FAVOURITE QUOTE? Carpe Diem … I have it tattooed on my thigh.
